The Operations Supervisor is responsible for managing a team of production employees. Working at Campus 1 in Longueuil, they will be responsible for all tasks related to employee management, such as training, supervision, scheduling, task assignment, and performance evaluations. They will also serve as the point of contact for internal and external clients, as well as for employees and the management team.

This role is based at our Longueuil facility, from Monday to Friday, and is exclusively on-site.

What Will Your Day-to-Day Look Like?

  • Supervise daily operations in a high-tech sector;
  • Responsible for achieving key performance indicators: on-time delivery, productivity, quality, etc.;
  • Assist in budget development, management, and hiring;
  • Supervise shift changes;
  • Lead and participate in meetings with other managers;
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental, ethics, and export regulations.

What Do You Need to Succeed?

Must-Haves:

  • DEC or Bachelor's degree with 5–10 years of relevant experience;
  • Strong computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word);
  • Process- and results-oriented mindset;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Team spirit and strong social skills;
  • Autonomy, perseverance, versatility, and solid business sense;
  • Ethical conduct and respect;
  • Ability to propose new and creative solutions;
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment.

Assets:

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure with competing and changing priorities;
  • Knowledge of the aerospace industry;
  • Knowledge of SAP.

Although this position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
