Production Supervisor - Night Shift

Safran Landing Systems is a subsidiary of Safran Landing Systems, a global leader in aircraft landing and braking systems. The Mirabel plant is dedicated to manufacturing major landing gear components for the Airbus A320, A330, and A350 models, and the Boeing 787. It features state-of-the-art equipment for machining, polishing, and special processes, including heat treatment, shot peening, and surface treatments.

The supervisor is responsible for ensuring the progress of production activities to guarantee team efficiency.

Main responsibilities:

• Perform daily monitoring of shift operations to ensure teams meet targeted performance levels regarding the production plan, quality, HSE, etc.
• Coordinate production team work on the floor
• Ensure compliance with productivity and yield objectives
• Monitor indicators (deadlines, scrap rates, machine downtime, etc.)
• When necessary, perform priority monitoring on production progress
• Ensure transition between the preceding and following shift and, as needed, reassign employees
• Identify and anticipate problematic situations or areas for improvement and coordinate resources to guarantee efficient production
• Guide, support, and supervise manufacturing employees (rule compliance, communication, annual evaluation, approval of payable hours, etc.)
• Manage schedule changes, overtime, absences, etc.
• Support and participate in quality, continuous improvement, Health, Safety, and Environment efforts (KPIs, 5S, risk analyses)
• Foster the skills development of manufacturing employees including newcomers
• Lead and participate in daily production monitoring team meetings (QRQC, etc.)

Work schedule:

Sunday from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM

Monday to Wednesday from 11:30 PM to 7:00 AM

You finish Thursday morning at 7:00 AM.

Requirements:

• DEC or DEP in a relevant discipline
• Minimum 3 years of team management experience in aeronautics or a high-tech manufacturing environment
