Safran Landing Systems Canada is a subsidiary of Safran Landing Systems, a world leader in aircraft landing and braking systems. The Mirabel plant is dedicated to the manufacture of major landing gear components for the Airbus A320, A330 and A350 models, and the Boeing 787. It features state-of-the-art equipment for machining, polishing and special processes, including heat treatment, shot peening and surface treatments.
The supervisor is responsible for ensuring the progress of production activities to ensure team efficiency.
Main responsibilities:
- Perform daily monitoring of operations on their shift to ensure teams meet target performance levels in terms of production plan, quality, EHS, etc.
- Coordinate the work of production teams in the field
- Ensure compliance with productivity and yield objectives
- Monitor indicators (respect of deadlines, scrap rates, machine stops, etc.)
- When necessary, perform priority monitoring on production progress
- Ensure the transition between the previous and following shift and, if necessary, reassign employees
- Identify and anticipate problematic situations or areas for improvement and coordinate resources to guarantee efficient production
- Guide, support and supervise manufacturing employees (compliance with rules, communication, annual evaluation, approval of payable hours, etc.)
- Manage schedule changes, overtime, absences, etc.
- Support and participate in quality, continuous improvement, Health, Safety and Environment efforts (KPIs, 5S, risk analyses)
- Encourage the skills development of manufacturing employees including newcomers
- Lead and participate in daily team production monitoring meetings (QRQC, ...)

Working schedule:
Sunday from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
Monday to Wednesday from 11:30 PM to 7:00 AM
You finish on Thursday morning at 7:00 AM.

Requirements:
- DEC or DEP in a relevant discipline
- Minimum 3 years of team management experience in aerospace or in a high-tech manufacturing environment
Technical skills:
- Knowledge of our manufacturing process
- Product knowledge
- Knowledge of the system (CASQ-IT) and quality procedures
- Knowledge of EHS rules and procedures
- Team management
- Problem-solving methodology
- Mastery of the collective agreement
- ERP and MES tools (SAP, ...)
- Production tracking applications (SHOPVUE, MES, CMMS)
