Responsibilities:
In your role, you will be called upon to:
- Manage, inform, develop, and mobilize a team of unionized employees (+/- 30), regarding production, interpersonal relations, health and safety, and compliance with work procedures;
- Establish action plans, communicate them effectively, and monitor their achievement;
- Optimize department operations through observed improvement opportunities;
- Ensure compliance with current safe work rules, standards, and methods;
- Ensure the cleanliness of the work environment;
- Ensure quality inspection and correction of non-conformities;
- Participate in workplace accident investigations and analyses;
- Plan daily production operations in collaboration with stakeholders;
- Complete required production reports;
- Ensure material supply and availability of required equipment based on work progress;
- Direct work execution according to the established schedule and regularly monitor the progress of delegated tasks;
- Actively participate in problem identification and resolution;
- Apply the collective bargaining agreement;
- Ensure compliance with company regulations and apply discipline within the team;
- Ensure the integration and training of new employees and evaluate their performance;
- Communicate company results during team meetings and follow up.
Your profile:
- A degree from relevant management training;
- Proven 4-5 years of experience in personnel and production management;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Mastery of the Office suite;
- Mastery of English (asset).
- Mastery of continuous improvement management methods (5S, Kaizen, etc.).
Key competencies:
- Results and client-oriented;
- Ability to delegate and develop the team and each of its members;
- A mobilizer and team player;
- Knowledge of the Kaizen quality management method.
