This is a full-time, on-site position, Monday to Friday, on the day shift, in Longueuil.
What will your day-to-day look like?
- Oversee daily operations in a high-tech environment;
- Be responsible for employee training, scheduling, task assignments, and performance evaluations;
- Engage and energize the team to achieve optimal levels of engagement, in line with the company’s standards and expectations;
- Be accountable for achieving key performance indicators (KPIs), including health and safety, quality, on-time delivery, productivity, and more;
- Contribute to budget development and management, as well as the recruitment process;
- Supervise and coordinate shift changes;
- Work closely with key stakeholders;
- Actively contribute to the implementation of various projects by incorporating employee participation and input;
- Support and promote organizational change initiatives;
- Organize and participate in meetings with other managers.
What do you need to be successful?
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Aeronautics, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field;
- 5+ years of management experience, ideally in the aerospace or manufacturing industry;
- Ability to thrive in a constantly changing environment and meet tight deadlines;
- Proven leadership skills and demonstrated ability to manage teams;
- Strong commitment to quality and service excellence in a demanding environment;
- Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure;
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously;
- Experience in a unionized environment is an asset.
Although this position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
