Operations Supervisor (weekend shift)

You have experience in operations management and/or as an operations supervisor, you have worked in aeronautics and you want to evolve and develop new skills? This position is for you !

The A220 commercial aircraft program is looking for an Operations Supervisor (weekend shift) to join our operations team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada).

Your challenges:

• Exercise your leadership while respecting the vision and values of the company;
• Be able to work under pressure and engage your team to meet strict deadlines;
• Manage your team's performance using KPIs;
• Manage the workload and individual performance of unionized employees;
• Ensure continuous improvement, notably with the application of the problem-solving process;
• Coach your team (15-25 employees) in order to develop their talent in the organization;
• Identify, document and standardize key processes leading to the achievement of objectives; Optimize the sharing of knowledge and best practices across the organization.

Your profile:

• You have at least five (5) years of management experience in a unionized environment, ideally in the manufacturing or aerospace industry;
• You have excellent management skills;
• You demonstrate very strong leadership, judgment, flexibility and are able to work with a minimum of supervision;
• You are results-oriented, able to meet tight deadlines and comfortable working under pressure and you have a sense of urgency;
• You have solid communication skills; You have a good understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement;
• You are fluent in French and English.
