Job Description

You have experience in operations management and/or as an operations supervisor, you have worked in the aerospace industry and you want to grow and develop new skills? This position is for you!

The A220 commercial aircraft program is looking for an Operations Supervisor (weekend shift) to join our operations team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada).

Responsibilities

  • Lead while respecting the company's vision and values;
  • Be able to work under pressure and motivate your team to meet tight deadlines;
  • Manage your team's performance using KPIs;
  • Manage the workload and individual performance of unionized employees;
  • Ensure continuous improvement, notably through the application of problem-solving processes;
  • Coach your team (15–25 employees) to develop their talent within the organization;
  • Identify, document and standardize key processes that lead to achieving objectives; optimize knowledge sharing and best practices across the organization.

Requirements

  • At least five (5) years of management experience in a unionized environment, preferably in manufacturing or the aerospace industry;
  • Excellent management skills;
  • Demonstrated leadership, sound judgment, strong flexibility and the ability to work with minimal supervision;
  • Results-oriented, able to meet tight deadlines, comfortable working under pressure and with a sense of urgency;
  • Strong communication skills; good understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement;
  • Fluent in French and English.
