Avior Integrated Products is a growing Quebec-based company operating four facilities specialized in the manufacturing of high-precision aerospace components. Our customers include industry leaders such as Airbus, Bombardier, Boeing, and Bell Flight.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the incumbent ensures that the Composite Products Division achieves its production objectives by providing engaging leadership aligned with Avior’s vision and values.

This individual analyzes performance indicators, leads continuous improvement initiatives, and develops the skills of team members. Working closely with various departments, the Production Supervisor helps ensure product quality, operational efficiency, and the successful completion of new projects.

This position is ideal for a hands-on leader who can mobilize a team in a unionized manufacturing environment, make decisions based on operational data, and translate organizational objectives into concrete action on the production floor.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engaging leadership consistent with Avior’s vision and values
  • Establish production objectives in collaboration with the Plant Manager and monitor progress toward achieving them
  • Review and interpret production key performance indicators to maximize productivity and operational efficiency
  • Identify and implement corrective actions when results deviate from established objectives
  • Ensure that production tools are properly maintained, available, and replaced when required
  • Ensure that products are manufactured in compliance with quality requirements and company processes
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and other departments to achieve quality, productivity, and efficiency objectives
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using structured problem-solving methods
  • Coach, train, and engage team members to develop their skills and potential
  • Promote the sharing of knowledge and best practices throughout the organization
  • Contribute to the company’s growth by supporting new product introduction projects
  • Perform all other related duties

Education

  • College or university diploma in Aerospace, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience that has resulted in strong management capabilities may also be considered

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a unionized manufacturing environment, preferably in the aerospace industry
  • Engaging leadership aligned with the company’s vision and values
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and team-management skills
  • Strong planning, organizational, and prioritization abilities focused on achieving results
  • Autonomy, initiative, and an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Ability to interpret operational data and performance indicators and take appropriate action
  • Knowledge of value-added production and continuous improvement principles, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and intermediate proficiency with computerized management systems
  • Proficiency in French and intermediate English skills to review technical documentation and communicate with certain business partners located outside Quebec
  • Technical experience in a manufacturing environment is considered an asset
