Procurement Supervisor

We are seeking a Procurement Supervisor to join our team!

Job Summary

MHI RJ Aviation is looking for a smart, curious Procurement Supervisor who enjoys taking on challenges and solving problems to improve people's lives. You will work with a flexible, dynamic and close-knit team while providing supervision.

Your contribution as Procurement Supervisor

• Plan, organize, direct and control all aspects of your responsibilities. Use the necessary skills to prioritize, assign and coordinate workloads within the area and among assigned employees in a multi-project environment.
• Act as a team leader for procurement agents. Provide mentoring, coaching and management support to the team.
• Use various software tools such as Word, Excel and others for transactions and business correspondence.
• Communicate effectively, provide updates, influence and/or facilitate discussions with all levels of management.
• Negotiate and manage sales activities to meet the needs of internal and external customers.
• Find solutions and provide support for aircraft return-to-service or procurement-related problem resolution to meet customer expectations.
• Align daily operations with MHI RJ Aviation's strategic priorities while upholding the company's values and leadership competencies.

What you need to succeed

• Bachelor's degree in business administration and a minimum of 5 to 7 years of team supervisory experience.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both oral and written.
• Proficiency in English is required, as the successful candidate will regularly communicate with colleagues, customers or partners outside Quebec.
• Experience working in a dynamic environment is essential.
• Knowledge of SAP applications is an important asset, as is proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, database, email and web applications.
• Basic knowledge of aircraft types.
• Basic understanding of accounting and budgeting principles, enabling reading and interpreting income statements, financial reports and achieving the financial objectives of assigned areas and programs.
• Practical knowledge of aviation requirements and regulations is a major asset.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with a diverse workforce, departments, customers, suppliers and managers.
• Occasional travel may be required.
