The supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of ground operations and ensuring they comply with Air Transat's high standards and safety requirements. As an ambassador for the Company, you will also be required to promote and maintain a safety culture at all times.
- Ensure compliance with Air Transat's airport policies and procedures regarding passenger processing, both at check-in and boarding, by assisting and coaching handling agent teams.
- Communicate guidelines to airport business partners;
- As needed, attend operational meetings and follow up on service level agreements (SLAs) with our suppliers;
- Conduct station inspections in accordance with company programs, identify corrective measures and ensure their implementation;
- Provide coaching and mentoring to operational teams, both from Air Transat and various service providers;
- Manage station delays, emergency events and irregular operations;
- Work closely with airport authorities, government agencies and ground service agents.
Qualifications
- College diploma or equivalent experience related to the field (an asset);
- Minimum of 7 to 9 years of experience in passenger service, including 3 years as a passenger service team lead;
- Knowledge of Transport Canada regulations surrounding airlines as well as Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and US Customs and Border Protection (USCBP) regulations;
- Vast experience in ground operations and understanding of flight operations;
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, ability to multitask and demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure;
- Be able to work flexible hours according to operational needs;
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office software suite;
- Oral and written fluency in French and English*
*A good command of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will be required to communicate frequently in English, both orally and in writing, with colleagues, clients or other stakeholders, both in Quebec and internationally.
Additional Information
The workplace is at the airport and the work schedule is 4 ten-hour days per week (day, evening, night, on rotation).
