SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage, lead, and support the Montreal facilities (Ryan Road and Percival Reid).
• Ensure that work projects/programs are executed safely, cost-effectively, and efficiently, on schedule, and follow up on any related subsequent issues.
• Maintain project/product warranties and manage any failures.
• Organize inspections and repairs with external suppliers/contractors, as needed.
• Supervise daily housekeeping, snow removal, and landscaping activities and ensure problem resolution.
• Ensure that the safety, insurance, and WCB/CNESST/WSIB requirements of external suppliers/contractors are up to date. Ensure sign-in and sign-out and escorting of external contractors, in accordance with Skyservice security policies.
• Assist with the facility ticket system by confirming that tickets are entered and noted. Use the system to assign work follow-up, escalating issues to your supervisor, as needed.
• Meet with local Operations department heads to understand their needs; ensure that work performed for facilities complies with standards, while providing exceptional internal customer service.
• Participate in periodic progress reports and report to your supervisor, as needed.
• Coordinate and assist with security, and health and safety inspections.
• Participate as a member of the health and safety committee.
• Provide support for all quality assurance, safety, and security activities for facility operations, including incident reporting, incident investigations, and the conclusion of these investigations inputs according to the Safety Management System.
• Manage security access key cards in Montreal: issuance, return, verification, and maintenance of key cards and the key card reader system.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships and clear and transparent communication with Skyservice's internal clients, including other departments, tenants, and owners.
• Thoroughly learn Maintenance operations to ensure productive relationships are maintained.
• Serve as a liaison with Montreal airport authorities (ADM).
• Perform duties according to established policies and procedures with the primary concern for the safety of colleagues, tenants, and clients.
• Inspect buildings, fire protection and life safety elements, and related elements to ensure system functionality and identify defects, safety, fire prevention, and health/safety issues, troubleshooting, and necessary repairs, making observations and recommendations following established procedure and using a periodic checklist.
• Perform and supervise minor electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, and masonry maintenance tasks.
• Maintain an organized inventory of all facilities and ground support equipment (as needed), parts, tools, supplies, and safety equipment;
• Contribute to the development of effective facility, safety, and security training materials in collaboration with peers, including the safety management system and training managers in Canada.
• Regularly monitor Service team members to ensure they meet or exceed expectations.
• Serve as Assistant Fire Rescue Officer and Assistant Security Officer;
• Respond to emergency, fire, and security situations.

TRAINING AND SKILLS

• At least 5 to 7 years of experience in facility maintenance, operation, and repair of ground support equipment, or similar combination, required; aviation experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education preferred.
• Valid driver's license, as driving between sites and for other professional purposes is required.
• Restricted Area Pass issued by local airport authorities, considered an asset.
• Intermediate understanding of electrical, plumbing, fire protection, security, and HVAC systems.
• Experience operating light and medium equipment and proficiency in using various hand and power tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot various types of equipment.
• Must be resourceful, safety-oriented, customer service-oriented, and able to evaluate objectively, fairly, and consistently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
• Must accept a flexible work schedule in all Montreal establishments, as needed.
• Must work on call, as needed.
