Our Mirabel site is looking for its next team member.

Position summary

The role holder will be responsible for a team composed of methods agents who report directly to them. They will report to the Methods Manager. In this role, they will liaise with Production to provide technical support to production operators and will be expected to master an assembly line in terms of industrialization and assembly.

Your challenges / Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and organize the various activities of the team.
  • Ensure that priorities are respected by the team under their responsibility.
  • Ensure the team delivers all their deliverables meeting cost, quality and schedule objectives.
  • Establish, maintain, monitor and communicate indicators that demonstrate team performance (e.g., OTD, EVM, FTR).
  • Ensure the technical scope is respected according to customer requirements and the needs of the program, manufacturing, and industrialization.
  • Support the team on technical issues and decision-making as needed.
  • Oversee employee development and hold individual meetings with team members.
  • Organize and maintain good team cohesion.
  • Prepare and present projects for validation with different functions.
  • Lead meetings and keep tracking files up to date.
  • Prepare and present progress statuses to various management levels.
  • Ensure compliance with department budgets.
  • Develop risk management plans including mitigation measures.
  • Participate in problem resolution and recovery plans.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of our project management processes.
  • Promote health and safety at work as well as the company values.

Your profile / Requirements

  • College diploma (DEC) in aeronautics. A bachelor's degree in a technical field or management is an asset.
  • Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in methods, with solid aerospace sector experience and production support for medium-series production.
  • Knowledge of assembly processes (key characteristics of simple or complex assembly tooling, capacity analysis tools, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Ability to use and interpret aerospace standards.
  • Ability to create and/or interpret a manufacturing process sheet.
  • Master tolerance principles and dimension chains.
  • Knowledge of basic parts is an advantage.
  • Proactive, rigorous and responsive. Ability to work in a team and autonomously.
  • Good interpersonal skills, leadership and the ability to adapt communication to argue courteously and pedagogically.
