The A220 Commercial Aircraft program is looking for a candidate on the evening shift to join our Quality team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada).

You will be part of the Quality team responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of the quality department teams. The team is organized to promote cross-functional collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.

Your role will be to lead a team of 15-25 employees while respecting the company values and ensuring compliance with quality procedures. You will be responsible for managing non-conformities, driving continuous improvement, and optimizing performance through KPIs. You will also coach and develop your team's talents to achieve set goals.

Your challenges

  • Exercise your leadership while respecting the company's vision and values;

  • Ensure compliance with quality procedures (QMS) in our manufacturing operations;

  • Manage technical issues related to non-conformities in manufacturing activities, including internal quality, supplier, and engineering challenges;

  • Be able to work under pressure and engage your team to meet strict deadlines;

  • Manage your team's performance using KPIs;

  • Handle the workload and individual performance of unionized employees;

  • Drive continuous improvement, especially through the application of problem-solving processes;

  • Supervise and coach your team (15-25 employees) to develop their talents within the organization;

  • Identify, document, and standardize key processes to achieve objectives;

  • Optimize the sharing of knowledge and best practices across the organization.

Your boarding pass

  • Experience in the aerospace industry and/or in quality management is preferred;

  • At least 5 years of experience in the manufacturing field;

  • Experience in team management;

  • Experience in a unionized environment;

  • Excellent management skills;

  • Leadership, judgment, flexibility, and ability to work with minimal supervision;

  • Results-driven, capable of meeting tight deadlines, comfortable working under pressure, and a sense of urgency;

  • Strong communication skills;

  • Good understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement;

  • Fluency in French.
