Job Description
Your challenges:
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety requirements by your team.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of quality inspectors within your perimeter.
- Ensure compliance of work performed on aerospace structures according to the requests of the Engineering department, client specifications, and Quality standards.
- Manage non-conformities, initiate corrective and preventive actions, and ensure follow-up.
- Ensure that measurement and inspection tools used by your team and production are calibrated and compliant.
- Participate in the development and implementation of inspection plans and quality procedures.
- Train and support team members in applying procedures and improving their skills.
- Work closely with the production, engineering, and maintenance departments to resolve quality issues and optimize processes.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, etc.).
- Prepare and present quality performance reports.
Your Profile:
- DEC in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Manufacturing, or equivalent field.
- OR
- A bachelor's degree in engineering or a certificate in quality management.
- OR
- Relevant experience in a similar role.
Special Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant quality assurance experience in the aerospace sector, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Confirmed experience in inspecting aerospace structures.
- Mastery of reading and interpreting technical drawings and complex diagrams (structural, mechanical).
- Solid knowledge of aerospace quality standards (AS/EN 9100, etc.).
- Knowledge of ERP (SAP) and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems is an asset.
- Mastery of technical English (written and read) and French (spoken and written).
- Knowledge of root cause analysis and problem-solving methods.
- Strong leadership and ability to motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical sense, rigor, and attention to detail.
