Our Airbus Atlantique site based in Mirabel is looking for its future Quality Inspector for a temporary period (approximately 3 months renewable), on the Airbus A220 program.

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Quality Manager, the Quality Supervisor's mission is to manage the team of inspectors of the autonomous production unit (APU). He is responsible for maintaining quality standards, transmitting customer requirements and acting as a technical authority. He also participates in quality analyzes and continuous process improvement.

Main responsibilities:

• Manage the APU inspection team by analyzing and distributing the workload

• Support team members on a daily basis, resolving technical difficulties and ensuring their development

• Manage human resources in his sector regarding payroll, efficiency, development, and health and safety.

• Monitor and control tasks to prevent defects and non-conformities

• Ensure the monitoring of the skills of the inspection team and quality delegates

• Guarantee compliance with health and safety at work rules;

• Initiate and monitor improvements to the inspection quality process;

• Actively participate in improvement initiatives

• Act as a focal point and technical authority for his team and other departments

• Prepare and manage the team's budget

• Represent the Quality function at meetings

• Directly support inspection operations and provide technical expertise as needed

Job Requirements

• College diploma (DEC) in aeronautical maintenance or assembly, or equivalent.

• A diploma in management, manufacturing, or engineering is an asset

• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in quality assurance in the aerospace sector, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role

• Proven experience in inspecting aerospace structures.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex technical plans and diagrams (structural, mechanical)

• Solid knowledge of aeronautical quality standards (AS/EN 9100, etc.)

• Knowledge of ERP (SAP) and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems is an asset.

• Proficiency in technical English (written and read) and French (spoken and written)

• Knowledge of root cause analysis and problem-solving methods

• Strong leadership and ability to motivate a team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical skills, rigor, and meticulousness

• Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities

• Autonomy, sense of responsibility and proactivity

Physical work environment: The position is performed in an environment that requires a presence on the production floor, which implies wearing adequate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Human work environment: The incumbent must be able to demonstrate calm, responsiveness and enthusiasm to evolve in a fast-paced environment.
