Some maintain planes. Our people fly legends. Nolinor Aviation operates the world's largest fleet of Boeing 737-200, robust workhorses equipped with gravel kits, that land where other planes simply cannot: unpaved runways in the Canadian Arctic, isolated mining sites, and communities at the ends of the map. Alongside them, our Boeing 737-300 and 737-400 complete a fleet designed for hard work in difficult conditions.

We are now expanding west. Our Edmonton base is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a Structure Supervisor to build a heavy maintenance structure team. This is not a position where you just show up. It's an opportunity to recruit your team, shape your workshop, and leave your mark on a brand new operation with the support of a company that has mastered northern aviation for over 30 years.

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead your team: supervise all personnel in the structure team, distribute work according to skills and qualifications, and ensure technician development through on-the-job training.
  • Ensure accountability for aircraft under your supervision: perform a complete daily review of each work card, ensure all documentation and return-to-service records are duly completed, signed, and logged, and verify that all maintenance tasks are performed according to requirements.
  • Drive work progress: conduct daily inspections, monitor work progression, quickly identify risks of delay, complete the daily report, and ensure efficient shift handover.
  • Manage anomalies rigorously: approve defects, open unplanned work cards (non-routine cards), and determine, with the manager, the labor and material needs to perform repairs.
  • Ensure availability of parts and materials: enter supply requests into the computerized maintenance system and ensure that requests for parts, tools, equipment, and materials are submitted to the manager in a timely manner.
  • Supervise structural repairs performed within your scope of responsibility (sheet metal and structures).
  • Promote a safety culture: ensure compliance with safety procedures, report any accidents or damage, and apply the requirements of Nolinor's Safety and Quality Management System (SQMS).
  • Manage the human aspect: conduct performance evaluations, approve weekly timesheets, validate the accuracy of hours recorded on work cards, apply disciplinary measures when required, and manage vacation schedules and time banks.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and follow up on in-flight maintenance reports.

Requirements

  • AME license;
  • Solid experience in structures, or solid experience in structures/sheet metal in heavy aircraft maintenance.
  • Previous supervisory or team leader experience in a heavy maintenance (MRO) environment;
  • A builder's mindset: you enjoy building your teams, implementing processes, and participating in the development of new facilities;
  • Impeccable documentary rigor: work records, return-to-service certificates, and regulatory paperwork always accurately completed;
  • Excellent communication skills and the judgment necessary to make the right decision when deadlines are tight;
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.
