Job offer: CMM Quality Inspector

Location: Boisbriand, QC
Duration: Permanent mandate
Schedule: Full-time – evening shift
Start date: As soon as possible

About the mandate

Do you want to evolve in a high-precision manufacturing environment and contribute directly to product quality? This mandate will allow you to play a key role in CMM inspection and programming activities within a dynamic quality team.

As a CMM quality support technician, you will intervene at different stages of the production cycle to ensure part conformity, support operational teams and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Main responsibilities

  • Program and operate coordinate measuring machines (CMM)
  • Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections (FAI)
  • Analyze measurement results and validate part conformity according to specifications
  • Interpret 2D/3D technical drawings and GD&T tolerances
  • Support production and quality teams in problem-solving
  • Participate in quality investigations and non-conformity analysis
  • Ensure traceability and documentation of inspections
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of inspection processes

Job requirements

  • College diploma (DEC) in mechanical engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in CMM programming and/or operation
  • Experience in quality control in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 standard and GD&T principles
  • Good ability to read technical plans (2D and 3D)
  • Rigor, attention to detail and analytical mind
  • Ability to work in a team and manage priorities

Assets

  • Experience with Zeiss CMM (Calypso software)
  • Experience in visual inspection (microscope, surface finish)
  • Experience in a regulated environment (ISO 13485 or similar)
