AAA Canada is looking for a Composite Technician to join its team. The candidate will be responsible for the preparation, cutting, assembly, heat treatment and inspection of composite parts, following technical specifications and using appropriate tools.
Responsibilities
- Cut carbon fiber and fiberglass fabrics
- Prepare tooling, lay up fabrics, compact
- Prepare resin, install mold in oven, monitor polymerization
- Adjust parts: deburring, trimming, sanding
- Choose appropriate tools to assemble, bond, mount parts made of composite materials (such as carbon fibers, kevlar)
- Occasionally perform machining (such as drilling, riveting) or heat treatment
- Use Client Aircraft technical data (Production, Quality, Safety, Instruction sheets, Ranges, Environmental Instructions, Assembly Instructions, Plans, etc.)
- Ensure the technical fine-tuning of the assembled unit after inspection
- Perform heat treatment of a part (heating, quenching, etc.) and ensure the fine-tuning of the assembled unit, after inspection.
Skills and qualifications
- DEP in structural assembly, plastics and composites or mechanical and production engineering or equivalent
- Significant experience in the field - in composite structure assembly and maintenance
- Bilingualism (French and English) is mandatory for this position
- Ability to read and interpret plans, technical documentation, aeronautical nomenclatures
- Meticulous and rigorous, manual dexterity, team spirit, autonomous and methodical
