AAA Canada is looking for a Composite Technician to join its team. The candidate will be responsible for the preparation, cutting, assembly, heat treatment, and inspection of composite material parts, while following technical specifications and using appropriate tools.

Responsibilities

  • Cut carbon fiber and fiberglass fabrics
  • Prepare tooling, lay up fabrics, compact
  • Prepare resin, install the mold in the curing oven, monitor polymerization
  • Adjust parts: deburring, trimming, sanding
  • Choose appropriate tools to assemble, bond, and mount parts made of composite materials (such as carbon fiber, kevlar)
  • Occasionally perform machining work (such as drilling, riveting) or heat treatment
  • Use Client Aircraft Technical Data (Production, Quality, Safety, Instruction Sheets, Process Sheets, Environmental Instructions, Assembly Instructions, Drawings...)
  • Ensure the technical fine-tuning of the assembled unit after inspection
  • Perform heat treatment of a part (heating, quenching...) and ensure the adjustment of the assembled unit after inspection

Skills and qualifications

  • DEC in structural assembly, plastics and composites, or mechanical and production engineering, or equivalent
  • Significant experience in the field - in composite structure assembly and maintenance
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is mandatory for this position
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, technical documentation, aeronautical parts lists
  • Detailed and rigorous, dexterous, team player, autonomous, and methodical
