AAA Canada is looking for a Composite Technician to join its team. The candidate will perform the preparation, cutting, assembly, heat treatment and inspection of composite material parts, while following technical specifications and using appropriate tools.
Responsibilities
- Cut carbon fiber and fiberglass fabrics
- Prepare tooling, lay up fabrics, compact
- Prepare resin, install the mold in the oven, monitor polymerization
- Adjust parts: deburring, trimming, sanding
- Choose appropriate tools to assemble, bond, and mount parts made of composite materials (such as carbon fiber, kevlar)
- Sometimes perform machining work (such as drilling, riveting) or heat treatment
- Use Customer Aircraft technical data (Production, Quality, Safety, Instruction Sheets, Process Sheets, Environmental Instructions, Assembly Instructions, Drawings...)
- Ensure the technical development of the assembled unit after inspection
- Perform heat treatment of a part (heating, quenching...) and ensure the development of the assembled unit, after inspection
Skills and qualifications
- DEP in structural assembly, plastics and composites, or mechanical and production engineering or equivalent
- Significant experience in the field - in composite structure assembly and maintenance
- Bilingualism (French and English) is mandatory for this position
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, technical documentation, aeronautical parts lists
- Meticulous and rigorous, have dexterity, team spirit, autonomous and methodical
