What you need to succeed

• Hold a DEC in electrotechnology, industrial electronics or industrial electronics technology

• Expertise in predictive analysis equipment and machine condition monitoring;

• Recognized expertise in machine safety;

• Excellent understanding of rules associated with lockout-tagout (audit);

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills;

• Mastery of reading electrical and electrotechnical drawings;

• Interpersonal skills: teamwork and positive attitude;

• Familiarity with computer systems, the Windows operating system and the Microsoft suite;

• This position takes place in a French-speaking work environment, however it requires a basic knowledge of English to understand certain specialized work instructions, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations.

What your daily routine will look like

• Working from verbal or written instructions, drawings or control management programs concerning the methods and equipment to be used.

• Disassembling, repairing, cleaning, inspecting, welding, modifying, reprogramming, assembling, testing, isolating, troubleshooting and adjusting various electrical and electronic components to ensure specifications are met.

• Checking and certifying the airworthiness of parts.

• Determining repairs or modifications to be made.

• Restoring surface finish by performing the required treatment, such as painting and minor retouching.

• Completing and approving the documentation necessary for one's work and performing the required computer transactions.

• Checking, making adjustments and accepting or rejecting parts and accessories.

• Keeping up-to-date appropriate records of various parameters in order to establish efficient operations with statistical process control.

• Making decisions regarding the continuity of operations, discussing the situation with planners and recommending modifications to operating parameters in order to meet specifications.

• Communicating with technical support, quality assurance and other services to clarify, evaluate and resolve difficulties on accessories or methods and providing an evaluation.

• Following up and applying established provisions.

• Making the necessary adjustments for the final installation of the accessory directly on the stored engine or during testing.

• May be called upon to simultaneously operate several closely spaced machines.

Specific job responsibilities

• Participating in the development of new processes, products and rework for the choice of methods and tools.

• Washing, preserving, packaging, identifying and moving parts while ensuring compliance with standards and specifications.

• Taking necessary items from stores and columns and reporting issues and material needs to the supervisor.

• Performing maintenance routines to ensure that, among other things, fluid levels are adequate, filters are clean and the general condition of the machine complies with the checklist.

• Maintaining equipment and work environment clean and in good condition.

• Participating in training and sharing knowledge with teammates on various equipment and tasks.
