What you need to succeed

  • Holder of a DEC in electrotechnics, industrial electronics or industrial electronics technology

  • Expertise in predictive analysis equipment and machine condition monitoring;

  • Recognized expertise in machine safety;

  • Excellent understanding of rules associated with lockout (audit);

  • Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mind;

  • Proficiency in reading electrical and electrotechnical plans;

  • Interpersonal skills: teamwork and positive attitude;

  • Familiarity with computer systems, Windows operating system, and Microsoft suite;

  • This position is in a French-speaking work environment, however, it requires a basic knowledge of English to understand certain specialized work instructions, drawings, and technical terms that may originate from international organizations.

What will your daily life look like?

  • Work from verbal or written instructions, drawings, or control management program concerning methods and equipment to be used.

  • Disassemble, repair, clean, inspect, solder, modify, reprogram, assemble, test, insulate, troubleshoot, and adjust various electrical and electronic components to ensure compliance with specifications.

  • Verify and certify the airworthiness of parts.

  • Determine repairs or modifications to be made.

  • Restore surface finish by performing the required treatment, such as painting and anodic touch-ups.

  • Complete and approve the necessary documentation for your work and perform the required computer transactions.

  • Check, make adjustments, and accept or reject parts and accessories.

  • Maintain appropriate records of various parameters to establish efficient operations with statistical process control.

  • Make decisions regarding the continuity of operations, discuss the situation with planners, and recommend modifications to operating parameters to meet specifications.

  • Communicate with technical support, quality assurance, and other departments to clarify, evaluate, and resolve difficulties with accessories or methods and provide an evaluation.

  • Follow up and apply the fixed provisions.

  • Make the necessary adjustments for the final installation of the accessory directly on the stored or tested engine.

  • May be required to operate several machines in close proximity simultaneously.

Specific responsibilities of the position

  • Participate in the development of new processes, products, and rework for the choice of methods and tools.

  • Wash, preserve, package, identify, and move parts while ensuring compliance with standards and specifications.

  • Take necessary items from stores and columns and report material exits and needs to the manager.

  • Perform maintenance routines to ensure, among other things, adequate fluid levels, clean filters, and that the general condition of the machine complies with the checklist.

  • Maintain your equipment and work environment clean and in good condition.

  • Participate in training and share your knowledge with teammates on different equipment and tasks
