What you need to succeed

  • Holder of a DEC in electrotechnics, industrial electronics or industrial electronics technology

  • Expertise in predictive analysis equipment and machine condition monitoring

  • Recognized expertise in machine safety

  • Excellent understanding of lockout/tagout rules (audit)

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Mastery of electrical and electrotechnical drawing reading

  • Interpersonal skills: teamwork and positive attitude

  • Familiarity with computer systems, Windows operating system and Microsoft suite

  • This position is in a French-speaking work environment, however it requires a basic knowledge of English to understand certain specialized work instructions, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations.

What your daily routine will look like

  • Work from verbal or written instructions, drawings or control management programs regarding methods and equipment to use.

  • Disassemble, repair, clean, inspect, weld, modify, reprogram, assemble, test, isolate, troubleshoot and adjust various electrical and electronic components to ensure specifications are met.

  • Verify and certify the airworthiness of parts.

  • Determine repairs or modifications to be performed.

  • Restore surface finish by performing required treatment, such as painting and minor touch-ups.

  • Complete and approve documentation necessary for your work and perform required computer transactions.

  • Check, make adjustments and accept or reject parts and accessories.

  • Keep appropriate records of various parameters up to date in order to establish efficient operations with statistical process control.

  • Make decisions concerning the continuity of operations, discuss the situation with planners and recommend modifications to operating parameters in order to meet specifications.

  • Communicate with technical support, quality assurance and other departments to clarify, evaluate and resolve difficulties on accessories or methods and provide an evaluation.

  • Monitor and apply established provisions.

  • Make necessary adjustments for the final installation of the accessory directly on the stored engine or during tests.

  • May be required to operate several closely spaced machines simultaneously.

Specific job responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of new processes, products and rework for the selection of methods and tools.

  • Wash, preserve, package, identify and move parts while ensuring compliance with standards and specifications.

  • Take necessary items from stores and columns and report withdrawals and material needs to the person in charge.

  • Perform maintenance routines to ensure that, among other things, fluid levels are adequate, filters are clean and the general condition of the machine complies with the checklist.

  • Keep equipment and work environment clean and in good condition.

  • Participate in training and share knowledge with teammates on various equipment and tasks
