What you need to succeed

  • Holder of a DEC in electrical technology, industrial electronics or industrial electronics technology

  • Expertise in predictive analysis equipment and machine condition monitoring;

  • Recognized expertise in machine safety;

  • Excellent understanding of rules associated with lockout-tagout (audit);

  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical mind;

  • Mastery of reading electrical and electrotechnical drawings;

  • Interpersonal skills: teamwork and positive attitude;

  • Familiarity with computer systems, Windows operating system and Microsoft suite;

  • This position is in a francophone work environment, nevertheless it requires a basic knowledge of English to understand certain specialized work instructions, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations.

What your daily routine will look like

  • Working from verbal or written instructions, drawings or controls management program concerning methods and equipment to use.

  • Dismantling, repairing, cleaning, inspecting, welding, modifying, reprogramming, assembling, testing, isolating, troubleshooting and adjusting various electrical and electronic components to ensure specifications are met.

  • Verifying and certifying the airworthiness of parts.

  • Determining repairs or modifications to be made.

  • Restoring surface finish by performing required treatment, such as painting and touch-up anodizing.

  • Completing and approving documentation necessary for their work and performing required computer transactions.

  • Checking, making adjustments and accepting or rejecting parts and accessories.

  • Keeping up-to-date appropriate records of various parameters to establish efficient operations with statistical process control.

  • Making decisions concerning continuity of operations, discussing the situation with planners and recommending modifications to operating parameters to meet specifications.

  • Communicating with technical support, quality assurance and other departments to clarify, evaluate and resolve difficulties on accessories or methods and provides an assessment.

  • Following up and applying established provisions.

  • Performing necessary adjustments for the final installation of the accessory directly on the stored engine or during tests.

  • May be required to operate simultaneously multiple nearby machines.

Specific responsibilities of the position

  • Participating in the development of new processes, products and re-runs for the choice of methods and tools.

  • Washing, preserving, packaging, identifying and moving parts while ensuring compliance with standards and specifications.

  • Taking necessary items from stores and columns and reporting issues and material needs to the supervisor.

  • Performing maintenance routines to ensure that, among other things, fluid levels are adequate, filters are clean and the general condition of the machine conforms to the checklist.

  • Maintaining equipment and workspace clean and in good condition.

  • Participating in training and sharing knowledge with teammates on different equipment and tasks.
