Air Canada is currently looking for dynamic individuals to fill permanent full-time aircraft technician or aircraft maintenance technician positions at its Winnipeg maintenance center.
Aircraft technicians / aircraft maintenance technicians are responsible for airframe maintenance and must possess the following skills:
- ability to use appropriate tools, methods, techniques, and equipment to perform aircraft maintenance;
- ability to read and understand various schematics for maintenance troubleshooting and mastery of computer and diagnostic tools;
- good team spirit, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to maintain a customer-oriented attitude in a very demanding work environment.

Qualifications
- Successful completion of a recognized trade apprenticeship program or at least four years of relevant industry experience
- Transport Canada M2 Aircraft Maintenance Technician License (mandatory)
- Valid driver's license (mandatory)
- Successful completion of pre-employment screening, physical examination, and security check
- Availability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Willingness to assume the night shift (this is the permanent shift offered with this posting; possibility of changing shifts based on seniority)
- Ability to obtain an airside vehicle operator's permit (mandatory).
- Restricted Radio Operator Certificate (Aviation)
- Employees occupying this safety-critical position must meet Air Canada's medical requirements to be eligible. Candidates will be subject to a medical evaluation, including drug and alcohol screening, and must not be under the influence of intoxicants.
- Demonstrate punctuality and reliability to support the team's overall success in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain all applicable transport security clearances and additional accreditations, depending on the workplace. Please refer to the Transport Canada website for more details
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the country concerned at the time the job offer is made. The search for any work permits/visas or other necessary authorizations is the sole responsibility of candidates for this position.
