Air Canada is currently seeking dynamic individuals for permanent full-time Aircraft Technician / Aircraft Maintenance Technician positions at its Calgary maintenance centre. Aircraft technicians are responsible for airframe maintenance and must have the following skills:
- Ability to use appropriate tools, methods, techniques, and equipment to perform aircraft maintenance;
- Ability to read and understand various schematics for maintenance troubleshooting and proficiency with computer and diagnostic tools;
- Strong team spirit, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to maintain a customer-focused attitude in a demanding work environment.

Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized trade apprenticeship program or at least four years of relevant industry experience;
- Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Technician M2 license (mandatory);
- Valid driver's license (mandatory);
- Successful pre-employment testing, medical examination and security screening;
- Availability to work evenings, nights, weekends and statutory holidays;
- Willingness to work night shift (this is the permanent position offered; shift changes may be possible by seniority);
- Ability to obtain a ramp vehicle operator permit (mandatory);
- Restricted Radio Operator Certificate (aviation);
- Ability to pass Transport Canada security screening and obtain the Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC/CIZR);
- Employees in this safety-sensitive position must meet Air Canada medical requirements, including drug and alcohol testing;
- Demonstrated punctuality and reliability;
- Must be able to obtain and maintain all transport security clearances and any additional applicable accreditations required at the work location;
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the country at the time of offer; obtaining work permits/visas is the responsibility of the candidate.

- Qualification on aircraft types operated by Air Canada;
- Current security clearance.
