Mechanical Maintenance Technician

EXPLEO GROUP CANADA is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team in Mirabel, QC.

• Location: Mirabel, Quebec

• Work arrangement: Remote

• Compensation: CAD $40 to $44 per hour at the regular rate, or CAD $50 to $54 per hour for overtime. The applicable compensation will be determined based on various criteria, including the candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications.

About the Role:

This role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving industrial equipment to ensure safe and reliable production operations. The ideal candidate brings strong industrial mechanics and electromechanical experience, solid diagnostic skills, and hands-on knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance, CMMS, and equipment improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and resolve potential equipment malfunctions.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance work.

• Complete breakdown reports.

• Use a CMMS software system for tasks such as searching for parts, drawings, work instructions, and related information.

• Participate in breakdown analyses.

• Collaborate and communicate with the maintenance team and various internal departments.

• Contact the technical support departments of different manufacturers when required.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the machine maintenance department.

• Update work instructions and electrical drawings in cooperation with the Reliability Specialist.

• Update lockout/tagout sheets.

• Participate in equipment updates and improvements.

• Specific working conditions, occupational risks, and PPE requirements: Work in a manufacturing facility. Required PPE includes safety shoes, a safety cap, safety glasses, and earplugs when working in the workshop. The position also involves working at heights and performing equipment lockout/tagout procedures.

Qualifications:

• College diploma in Industrial Mechanics.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar position.

• Specific working conditions, occupational risks, and PPE requirements: Work in a manufacturing facility.

• Required PPE includes safety shoes, a safety cap, safety glasses, and earplugs when working in the workshop. The position also involves working at heights and performing equipment lockout/tagout

• procedures.

• Required technical skills: Industrial Mechanics and Electromechanics.

• Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and SAP.

• Languages: French required; functional English.

• Professional competencies: Ability to make technical decisions.

• Strong analytical skills, autonomy, teamwork, and active listening skills.
