Job Summary

The mechanical maintenance technician is responsible for executing the existing maintenance plan, responding to service calls, and ensuring the proper functioning of production equipment by keeping them in optimal condition.

Your Challenges

  • Diagnosing and resolving any malfunctions on the equipment.
  • Performing preventive and curative maintenance interventions.
  • Filling out breakdown reports.
  • Using a CMMS software (Searching for parts, drawings, work procedures, etc.).
  • Participating in breakdown analyses.
  • Exchanging and communicating with the maintenance team and various internal departments.
  • Contacting the technical services of various manufacturers, when needed.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of the machine maintenance department.
  • Updating work procedures and electrical drawings, in cooperation with the reliability specialist.
  • Updating lockout/tagout sheets.
  • Participating in equipment updates and improvements.

PROFILE SOUGHT

  • College diploma in industrial mechanics, candidate with 10 years or more of experience in a similar position.
  • Good manual skills and very good dexterity.
  • Thoroughness and precision, good reflexes, ease of concentration, and attention to detail.
  • Analytical capacity to quickly find a defect or any other problem.
  • Sense of responsibility.
