Job Summary

The mechanical maintenance technician is responsible for executing the existing maintenance plan, responding to service calls, and ensuring the proper functioning of production equipment by keeping them in an optimum state.

Your Challenges

  • Diagnosing and resolving potential malfunctions on equipment.
  • Performing preventive and curative maintenance interventions.
  • Filling out breakdown reports.
  • Using a CMMS software (Searching for parts, plans, work procedures, etc.).
  • Participating in breakdown analyses.
  • Exchanging and communicating with the maintenance team and various internal departments.
  • Contacting the technical services of various manufacturers, when needed.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of the machine maintenance department.
  • Updating work procedures and electrical plans, in cooperation with the reliability engineer.
  • Updating lockout sheets.
  • Participating in equipment updates and improvements.

REQUISITE PROFILE

  • College diploma in industrial mechanics, candidate with 10 years or more of experience in a similar position.
  • Good manual skills and very good dexterity.
  • Meticulousness and precision, good reflexes, ease of concentration, and attention to detail.
  • Analytical capacity to quickly find a defect or any other problem.
  • Sense of responsibility.
