Aircraft Structures Technician

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems with aircraft structural systems and adjust and repair these systems in accordance with specifications, technical drawings, manuals and other applicable procedures;
• Repair and overhaul aircraft structural systems, fabricate, assemble and machine aluminum and composite parts;
• Perform routine maintenance and report on it;
• Inform the supervisor of irregularities in work tasks;
• Ensure work is performed according to Nolinor Aviation quality standards, policies and procedures and applicable regulations;
• Work closely with colleagues and supervisors to ensure tasks are completed on schedule;
• Ensure the workplace is clean and safe at all times;
• Promote the quality management system and provide suggestions for improvement;
• Adhere to and apply safety policies;
• Collaborate on various innovative and challenging projects;
• Perform any other related duties.

Requirements

You are the ideal candidate if:

• You have a DEP (vocational diploma) in aerospace structures assembly and 5 to 10 years of relevant experience (an asset);
• You can read and work from technical drawings as well as other written instructions or design specifications;
• You have mathematical knowledge and an analytical mind, and the ability to demonstrate precision with a high level of quality and foresight;
• You are familiar with a variety of pneumatic, hand and sheet metal tools;
• You have excellent judgement and strong attention to detail;
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written;
• French proficiency is an asset.
