The starting salary range for this position is $30.73 to $43.47 per hour, commensurate with skills, experience, and qualifications. With internal training, time, and career progression, hourly compensation may increase to a maximum of $51.21. Employees working the second shift receive an additional shift premium of $1.15 per hour. This position is also eligible for overtime.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to work with others to suggest and improve ways of doing things
- Must follow manufacturer's instructions for repairing aircraft engine components
- Review drawings or instructions to understand output specifications
- Take measurements using various instruments
- Repair and inspect parts using various hand tools and / or specialized equipment
- Perform leak and pressure tests
- Check the output to ensure consistency with specifications and eliminate defects
- May have to transport parts, components or modules from one workstation or one center to another
- May be called upon to clean / inspect / repair parts
- May be required to work in another category.
Qualifications:
- Vocational diploma (DEP,ASP,DEC) in Precision Sheet metal, aeronautical structure, aircraft maintenance or equivalent trades
- Ability to read and understand instructions in English
- Autonomous, able to work with no supervision
- Rigorous and organized.
