Role:

This is a continuous training level. May require supervision from more experienced technicians or technical staff to perform simple test bench assembly, modification, or validation tasks. May be required to test simple electronic assemblies, passive or active telecommunications equipment, and chamber monitoring on more complex equipment. Must demonstrate initiative and progress within routine tasks with well-defined limits.

Responsibility:

  • Assist in aligning and testing simple production equipment according to procedures or other well-defined guidelines. Record test results.
  • Assist in the assembly, modification, and verification of simple test equipment benches.
  • Assist more experienced technicians or technologists.
  • Perform work in accordance with internal procedures and in compliance with our occupational health and safety rules.
  • Perform other related tasks.

Tasks by Assignment: Must be able to assist under the supervision of engineering or more experienced technicians in performing the tests below according to the assignment:

Flying Probe

  • Perform basic functional tests on Flying Probe equipment
  • Perform light maintenance tasks on equipment (cleaning, cable checking, etc.)
  • Assist in preparing equipment for tests and measurements
  • Document test and measurement results in data management systems

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Education: DEC or equivalent in mechanical, electromechanical, electrotechnical, electronic engineering, or a related field depending on the assignment.
  • Experience: 0 to 2 years of relevant experience
  • Language Proficiency Level: Comfortable in spoken and written French and English (Contact with clients outside Quebec).

Successful candidates must obtain and hold a Level II (SECRET) security clearance and successfully pass the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) security assessment.
