Safran Landing Systems is a subsidiary of Safran Landing Systems, a world leader in landing and braking systems for aircraft. The Mirabel plant is dedicated to the manufacturing of major landing gear components for Airbus A320, A330, and A350 models, and the Boeing 787. State-of-the-art equipment is used for machining, polishing, and special processes, including heat treatment, shot peening, and surface treatments.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Repair of various production equipment (CNC machine tools, shot peening machines, furnaces, plating, robots, etc.)
  • Troubleshooting and performing necessary diagnostics (including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic failures).
  • Regular maintenance and periodic overhauls to prevent breakdowns.
  • Working in corrective, preventive, conditional, and predictive modes
  • Problem-solving based on data analysis, recurring failure analysis, and participation in action plan establishment.
  • Equipment improvement and implementation of new technologies
  • Investment project management (occasionally)
  • Modification of PLCs, NC systems
  • Documentation management in the CMMS system

We work in corrective, preventive, and predictive modes. For us, the use of data is a powerful problem-solving tool, and documentation management in the CMMS is paramount.

Work schedule:
Tuesday to Friday from 1:30 PM to 11:30 PM

Technical skills:

  • DEP in automated systems electromechanics or a DEC in electrotechnology or automated systems or instrumentation and control
  • 3 years of experience in production equipment maintenance (including electronics, electricity, pneumatics, mechanics, and hydraulics)
  • Experience with programmable logic controllers
  • Experience with AC motor servo drives
  • Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and electronic drawings
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of PLC programming and software such as Step 7
  • Knowledge of Allen Bradley, Siemens, Siemens 840D systems, equipment connection qualification, Electrical C License an asset
  • Knowledge of Kuka robotics an asset
