The Technical Illustrator will be part of a team taking care of the creation and maintenance of illustrations being part of the Technical Publications.
Responsibilities
- Good analysis and reading of mechanical plans
- Use of workshop machines (band saw, column drill, grinding wheel)
- Maintenance and improvement of a production tool
- Manufacture fixtures and tools from technical drawings
- Perform preventive maintenance of production tools
- Perform machinings using horizontal lathes and vertical milling machines
- Efficient and rigorous autonomous worker
- Keep the work area clean and safe
- Knowledge of CATIA (an asset)
- Knowledge of laser shooting (an asset)
Requirements / Ideal candidate
- Relevant college (CEGEP) diploma or equivalent experience
- DEP with equivalent and relevant experience may be acceptable
- High degree of technical proficiency with computers
- Well organized and systematic work methodology with meticulous attention to detail
- Professional, committed and disciplined team player
