Job description

The annotated structural technician is responsible for the repair and maintenance of aircraft structures.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, evaluate, repair, modify, and weld metal and/or composite aircraft parts according to airworthiness standards, in accordance with applicable company maintenance control manuals and Transport Canada regulations;
  • Order necessary parts and follow up with the Technical Purchasing team;
  • Work closely with aircraft maintenance technicians to keep all aircraft systems operational;
  • Establish all documentation required by the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs), the Maintenance Control Manual (MCM), and the company's Maintenance Policy Manual (MPM) for the maintenance of all processed parts and structures;
  • Recommend for certification or certify by signing a maintenance logbook the completion of work and that work on the aircraft structure has been carried out in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • College diploma in aircraft maintenance or equivalent (structure assembly);
  • At least two years of experience as a structural repair technician;
  • Hold a valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) "S" license (which must remain valid at all times during employment);
  • Welder certification is an asset;
  • Ability to perform meticulous hand work (dexterity);
  • Ability to read plans/blueprints;
  • Strong communication skills

*A good command of French is required for positions in Quebec. The person in this position will frequently communicate in English, both orally and in writing, with colleagues, clients, or other stakeholders, both in Quebec and internationally.
