Laboratory Technician
Montreal
As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for providing special process control mechanisms, which will ensure that engine components comply with company expectations, airworthiness regulations, business needs, and customer expectations.
The role involves supporting operations and manufacturing engineering activities and deliverables, as required, within your area of expertise.

Key responsibilities:
Prepare, test, measure, and evaluate test pieces or special process control samples, in accordance with technical specification requirements and related documents. Accept or reject repaired components or special processes that have been tested. Maintain quality records and documentation related to special process control. Keep database information up to date.
Support the competent manufacturing engineer in the development of chemical or metallurgical techniques or processes.
Perform analysis of components, debris, fuel samples, oil samples, or other fluids found in engines and publish a laboratory report.
Perform a dimensional evaluation of surface defects, if necessary. Publish the results in a laboratory report.
This position covers second shift activities (3pm -11pm)

Essential criteria:
Technical diploma in materials, metallurgy, or chemistry with a minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience OR
University degree relevant to the position
Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada
Desired criteria:
Proficiency in written and spoken French and English
Teamwork and good interpersonal skills
Technical writing
