Job Description
The Aeronautical Composite Technician participates in the manufacturing, assembly, inspection, and repair of parts and structures made of composite materials for the aerospace industry. He/She works in accordance with the quality, safety, and traceability standards required by the sector.
Main Responsibilities
Prepare molds, tools, and composite materials (carbon fibers, glass, resins, pre-pregs).
Perform draping, manual lamination, infusion, RTM, or pre-preg laying operations.
Perform polymerization cycles in an oven or autoclave according to established procedures.
Perform demolding, trimming, assembly, and finishing of parts.
Perform structural and cosmetic repairs on aeronautical composite parts.
Inspect parts (visual, dimensional, and quality inspection).
Complete production and traceability documentation (travelers, technical sheets).
Comply with SST, environmental standards, and aeronautical quality procedures.
Collaborate with quality, engineering, and methods teams.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance.
Technical Skills
Solid knowledge of aeronautical composite materials.
Reading and interpreting aeronautical plans, technical drawings, and specifications.
Mastery of composite manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of aeronautical quality standards (AS9100, ISO).
Awareness of Transport Canada and/or FAA requirements (an asset).
Requirements
Desired Profile
Vocational Studies Diploma (DEP), technical DEC, AEC or equivalent in composites, aeronautics, or materials.
Relevant experience in an aeronautical environment (a major asset).
Great thoroughness, rigor, and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a team in a structured and regulated environment.
Good manual dexterity and strict adherence to procedures.
