Responsibilities

  • Inspect aircraft structural components (fuselage, wings, empennage, landing gear) to detect damage, wear or corrosion.
  • Repair or replace damaged or worn parts according to standards and technical drawings.
  • Perform welding, riveting, bonding or assembly work in accordance with specifications.
  • Install new structural parts or systems to meet specific needs or modernization programs.
  • Modify aircraft to new configurations or customer requirements.
  • Review maintenance manuals, technical drawings and maintenance procedures.
  • Strictly follow instructions from engineers and supervisors.
  • Record all maintenance and repair operations in the appropriate logs.
  • Ensure all interventions comply with safety standards and aviation regulations (e.g., Transport Canada, FAA, EASA).
  • Work closely with engineers, other technicians and production staff.
  • Report any anomaly or major issue affecting aircraft safety or performance.

Qualifications and skills

  • Recognized diploma in aircraft maintenance technology or aircraft structures, recognized by Transport Canada or any other accredited program.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar position.
  • Rigour, attention to detail, dexterity and autonomy.
  • Strong teamwork skills in a constantly changing environment.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing in French or English.
