Responsibilities
- Examine aircraft structural components (fuselage, wings, empennages, landing gear) to detect any damage, wear, or corrosion.
- Repair or replace damaged or worn parts according to standards and technical drawings.
- Perform welding, riveting, bonding, or assembly work in accordance with specifications.
- Install new parts or structural systems to meet specific needs or modernization programs.
- Adapt aircraft to new configurations or customer requirements.
- Analyze maintenance manuals, technical drawings, and maintenance procedures.
- Strictly follow the instructions of engineers and supervisors.
- Log all maintenance and repair operations in the appropriate records.
- Ensure that all interventions comply with safety standards and aeronautical regulations (e.g., Transport Canada, FAA, EASA).
- Work closely with engineers, other technicians, and production personnel.
- Report any anomaly or major problem affecting aircraft safety or performance.
Skills and Qualifications
- Recognized diploma in aircraft maintenance technique or aircraft structures, recognized by Transport Canada or any other accredited course;
- You have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar position;
- Rigorousness, attention to detail, dexterity, and autonomy;
- Good ability to work in a team in a constantly evolving environment;
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing in French or English.
