Job Description
The Accounts Payable Technician's main responsibility is to verify, compile and process invoices, as well as issue payments, while ensuring the integrity of accounting data.
Responsibilities
- Validate and enter invoices, track payments and perform account reconciliations.
- Reconcile supplier statements in compliance with current directives, procedures and administrative methods.
- Ensure the application of internal controls.
- Ensure rigorous and diligent management of supplier accounts.
- Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers, including international partners.
- Process intercompany invoices in accordance with established procedures.
- Meet deadlines, prioritize and demonstrate constant attention to detail.
Qualifications
- DEC or AEC, DEP in accounting;
- Min. two (2) years of experience in a similar position;
- Knowledge of applicable taxes (GST/QST/HST);
- Good command of MS Office tools (including Excel) and comfortable with collaborative digital tools and AI (e.g. Copilot);
- Knowledge of SAP, Esker or an automated processing system, an asset;
- Strong communication skills;
- Respect for deadlines, priority management and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Professional and service-oriented attitude.
- Oral and written fluency in French and English *
*A good command of French is required for positions in Quebec. The person in this position will frequently communicate in English, orally and in writing, with colleagues, clients or other stakeholders, both in Quebec and internationally.
