What You Need to Succeed
- Diploma: DEC or AEC in Aircraft Maintenance, DEC in Aerospace Engineering or DEP in Mechanical Assembly
- Basic mechanical knowledge — an asset
- Relevant experience: 2 to 5 years in the aerospace field — an asset
- Ability to perform various operations on computer systems (intermediate level)
- Strong teamwork skills (most work is performed in teams)
- Field of study: Aerospace
- This position is within a French-speaking work environment; however, functional knowledge of English is required to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms from international organizations, and to write and occasionally communicate in English with clients, suppliers or international colleagues.
What Your Day Will Look Like
General Responsibilities
- Install on the engine the accessories required for its proper operation.
- Configure the test stand for the engine type and secure the engine, connecting fluid lines and control/instrumentation fittings according to work instructions.
- Monitor readings displayed on computerized control panels, record discrepancies and intervene immediately.
- Complete various reading and test reports.
- Make necessary adjustments during tests.
- Stamp records to certify that tests were completed according to standards.
- Perform a visual inspection of the engine's external condition upon arrival and after testing.
- When required, wash, rinse and dry engines, their supports and the test cell.
Specific Responsibilities
- Participate in the development of new processes, products and reworks to select methods and tools.
- Retrieve required items from stores and report material usage and needs to the supervisor.
- Maintain personal equipment and work area in clean, serviceable condition.
- Participate in training and knowledge sharing with teammates on equipment and tasks.
- Perform other similar tasks of equal or lesser complexity related to the functions described above.
