What you need to succeed
- Holder of a DEC or AEC in aircraft maintenance, DEC in Aerospace Engineering, or a DEP in mechanical assembly.
- Basic mechanical knowledge, an asset
- Relevant experience: 2 to 5 years in the aeronautics field, an asset
- Ability to perform various operations on computer systems (intermediate level)
- Good ability to work in a team (the majority of the work being done in work teams)
- Field of study: Aeronautics
- This position is set in a French-speaking work environment, however, it requires a functional knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, blueprints, drawings, and technical terms that may originate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with international clients, suppliers, or colleagues.
What will your daily life look like?
General responsibilities
- Install the accessories necessary for its proper functioning on the engine.
- Adapt the test bench to the type of engine and secure an engine to it, connecting fluid lines and control and instrumentation fittings according to work instructions
- Monitor the readings displayed on the various computerized control panels to detect deviations and intervene immediately
- Fill out various reading and test reports.
- Perform necessary adjustments during tests.
- Affix your stamp to testify that tests were completed according to standards.
- Perform a visual inspection of the external condition of the engine upon arrival at tests and upon departure.
- As needed, wash, rinse, and dry the engines, their supports, and the test cell.
Specific responsibilities
- Participate in the development of new processes, products, and reworks for the choice of methods and tools.
- Take necessary items from stores and report withdrawals and material needs to the person in charge.
- Keep your equipment and work environment clean and in good condition.
- Participate in training and sharing your knowledge with your teammates on various equipment and tasks.
- Perform other similar tasks of lesser or equal complexity related to the aforementioned functions.
