What will your daily life look like?
General Responsibilities
Perform assembly and rework operations on engine component parts and detail assemblies.
Set up, operate, and adjust sheet metal working machines such as laser cutting, presses, and plasma spraying and shot peening machines.
Perform deburring, welding preparation, marking, washing, masking of all types, scraping, polishing, cutting, drilling, riveting, dent removal, spot welding, and sanding on various parts, including the correction of manufacturing defects.
Work from verbal instructions, manufacturing method sheets, schedules, drawings, and other written instructions and make all necessary changes and adjustments to meet requested dimensions.
Perform dimensional and visual checks on parts during the manufacturing process as indicated or required using different types of precision measuring instruments and inspection gauges and maintain appropriate records of various parameters to establish efficient operations with statistical process control.
Operate a forklift to move hydraulic press fixtures.
Operate and adjust mechanical or hydraulic presses with electronic/mechanical/manual adjustment to perform forming, punching, deburring, cutting, and trimming operations on engine parts.
Perform forming operations and necessary adjustments to compensate for material reactions and for parts in development.
May be required to operate several closely spaced machines simultaneously.
Specific Responsibilities
Participate in the development of new processes, products, and reworks for the choice of methods and tools.
Wash, preserve, pack, identify, and move parts while ensuring compliance with standards and specifications.
Take necessary items from stores and columns and report material exits and needs to the manager.
Perform maintenance routines to ensure, among other things, that fluid levels are adequate, filters are clean, and the general condition of the machine conforms to the checklist.
Maintain equipment and work environment clean and in good condition.
Participate in training and share knowledge with teammates on different equipment and tasks.
Perform other similar tasks of lesser or equal complexity related to the above-mentioned functions.
Report difficulties to the department manager.
What you need to succeed
Required Requirements
Holder of a DEP in precision sheet metal work
Proficiency in documentation and plan reading (manufacturing drawing);
Excellent learning ability;
Analytical mind and problem-solving skills (comprehension and logic);
Interpersonal skills: teamwork and positive attitude;
Familiarity with computer systems, Windows operating system, and SAP;
2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
This position is in a French-speaking work environment; however, it requires a basic knowledge of English to understand certain specialized work instructions, drawings, and technical terms that may originate from international organizations.
