Responsibilities
- Read and interpret drawings and technical specifications.
- Measure and mark sheet metal according to drawings and templates.
- Cut, bend, punch, drill or straighten sheet metal using metalworking machines such as presses, punch presses and stamping machines as well as CNC equipment.
- Grind and polish joints, seams and rough surfaces.
- Form various alloys according to drawing specifications.
- Inspect product and installations to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Skills and qualifications
- At minimum a vocational diploma in precision sheet metal or DEP in tinsmithing/sheet metal or Secondary V, and 2 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing and/or construction.
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience in sheet metal fabrication.
- Strong knowledge of aerospace technical specifications (considered a strong asset).
- Quick thinking and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate in French, both spoken and written.
