What will your daily routine look like?
General Responsibilities
Perform assembly and rework operations on engine part components and detail assemblies.
Set up, operate and adjust sheet metal working machines such as laser cutting, presses and plasma spray and shot peening machines.
Perform deburring, weld preparation, marking, washing, all-type masking, scraping, polishing, cutting, drilling, riveting, dent removal, spot welding and sandblasting on various parts, including the correction of manufacturing defects.
Work from verbal instructions, manufacturing method sheets, schedules, drawings and other written instructions and make all necessary changes and adjustments to meet requested dimensions.
Perform dimensional and visual checks on parts during the manufacturing process as indicated or required using various types of precision measuring instruments and verification gauges and keeps appropriate records of various parameters up to date in order to establish efficient operations with statistical process control.
Drive a forklift to move hydraulic press fixtures.
Operate and adjust mechanical or hydraulic presses with electronic/mechanical/manual adjustment to perform forming, punching, deburring, cutting and trimming operations on engine parts.
Perform forming operations and required adjustments to compensate for material reactions and for developing parts.
May be required to operate several close proximity machines simultaneously.
Specific Responsibilities
Participate in the development of new processes, products and reworks for the choice of methods and tools.
Wash, preserve, package, identify and move parts while ensuring standards and specifications are met. Take necessary items from stores and columns and report releases and material needs to the supervisor.
Perform routine maintenance to ensure that, among other things, fluid levels are adequate, filters are clean and the general condition of the machine complies with the checklist. Keep equipment and work environment clean and in good condition.
Participate in training and sharing knowledge with teammates on various equipment and tasks.
Perform other similar tasks of lesser or equal complexity related to the aforementioned functions.
Report difficulties to the department supervisor.
What you need to succeed
Required Requirements:
Holder of a DEP in precision sheet metal work
Master documentation and blueprint reading (manufacturing drawing);
Excellent learning ability;
Analytical mind and ability to solve problems (understanding and logic);
Interpersonal skills: teamwork and positive attitude;
Familiarity with computer systems, Windows operating system and SAP;
2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
This position is in a French-speaking work environment, however it requires a basic knowledge of English to understand certain specialized work instructions, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations.
