Pipefitter / Pipefitters

Do you have experience in mechanics, plumbing or pipefitting, have you worked in the manufacturing, industrial or naval sectors and want to evolve and develop new skills? This position is for you!

Your role as an Assembler-mechanic will be to be responsible for the installation, assembly, adjustment and fastening of mechanical components related to piping, ventilation, heating, air conditioning (HVAC), naval mechanics and metal cabinetry systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the installation, assembly, adjustment and fastening of mechanical components related to piping, ventilation, heating, air conditioning (HVAC), naval mechanics and metal cabinetry systems;
• Read plans and work orders;
• Ensure workshop assembly and perform pressure tests;
• Adjust mechanical equipment;
• Drive forklifts or trucks, and actively participate in the commissioning of systems on board ships.

Skills and qualifications

• You have a DEP in plumbing heating (pipefitter) OR you have your CCQ card (1st year apprentice or journeyman);
• Hold a reliability rating;
• Ability to read plans and work orders;
• Aptitude for adjustment and mechanical assembly in the workshop and on board ships;
• Ability to drive forklifts or trucks;
• Bilingualism (French - English) orally and in writing is an important asset for communication in the multilingual environment of the client site and technical documentation.
