You have experience in mechanics, plumbing or piping, you have worked in the manufacturing, industrial or naval sector and you want to evolve and develop new skills? This position is for you!

Your role as a Mechanical Assembler will be to be responsible for the installation, assembly, adjustment and fixing of mechanical components related to piping, ventilation, heating, air conditioning (HVAC) systems, naval mechanics and metal cabinetry.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the installation, assembly, adjustment and fixing of mechanical components related to piping, ventilation, heating, air conditioning (HVAC) systems, naval mechanics and metal cabinetry;
• Read blueprints and work orders;
• Ensure workshop assembly and perform pressure tests;
• Adjust mechanical equipment;
• Drive forklifts or trucks, and actively participate in the startup of systems on board ships.

Requirements and qualifications

• You hold a DEP in plumbing-heating (pipefitter) OR you hold your CCQ card (1st year apprentice or journeyman);
• Hold a reliability status;
• Ability to read blueprints and work orders;
• Aptitude for adjustment and mechanical assembly in the workshop and on board ships;
• Ability to drive forklifts or trucks;
• Bilingualism (French - English) orally and in writing is an important asset for communication in the client site's multilingual environment and technical documentation.
