The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for 1 Machinist to join our tooling department team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will work with tooling department.

You will be part of the tooling team responsible to support the production and work in conjunction with the tooling method group.

The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.

Your role as a Machinist will be to build, modify, repair, and maintain the mechanical tools, jigs, and equipment used in the manufacturing, assembly, and maintenance of aircraft. You must master general mechanical, machining, and tooling skills.

Your challenges:

  • Understand and interpret technical plans and drawings;

  • Verify that the part corresponds to the drawing criteria;

  • Correct according to the first trial results and adjust if required;

  • Verify the machining performed and carry out necessary corrections;

  • Notify the supervisor of any breakage or defects in the tools and/or equipment used;

  • Participate in the training of new employees and/or trainees;

  • Apply the company's current Occupational Health and Safety rules at all times.

Your boarding pass:

  • DEP (Diploma of Vocational Studies) in Machining with 3 years of experience;

  • AEC in CNC (Computer Numerical Control) mandatory;

  • Solid experience in sheet metal, conventional, and 3-axis machining;

  • Experience in aerospace is an asset;

  • Applied, rigorous and organized;

  • Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings;

  • Great attention to detail and precision;

  • Analytical mind and problem-solving skills;

  • Strength and manual dexterity.
