CAE, the world-leading aviation simulation and training company headquartered in Montreal, has been recognized among the Best Companies in Canada 2026 by the prestigious TIME magazine, in collaboration with Statista, the world's leading statistics portal and provider of industry rankings. The official announcement was made on July 9, 2026, and the complete list of 125 honored companies is available on Time.com.
This distinction is the result of a rigorous evaluation process conducted jointly by TIME and Statista, who assessed thousands of Canadian companies across three fundamental criteria: employee satisfaction, revenue growth, and sustainability transparency. Only the 125 highest-rated companies were included in this nationally significant ranking.
A Rigorous Methodology Based on Three Key Criteria
The first criterion, employee satisfaction, is based on a large-scale survey conducted with approximately 37,000 verified employees of Canadian companies over the past three years. The survey covered employee recommendations as well as their evaluations of employers regarding image, workplace atmosphere, working conditions, compensation, work environment, and equality. Rooted in the direct voice of workers, this criterion forms the human foundation of the evaluation.
The second criterion, revenue growth, draws on Statista's revenue database spanning the past three years. Eligible companies were required to have recorded at least USD $100 million in revenues in 2024 or 2025, and to have demonstrated positive three-year growth. The evaluation considered both relative and absolute growth, in order to accurately reflect each organization's trajectory.
The third criterion, sustainability transparency, is based on an ESG index developed from Statista's ESG database and additional research. This index covers three areas: the environment, including 2024 carbon emission intensity, the reduction rate compared to 2022, and CDP score; social factors, including the proportion of women on the board of directors and the existence of a human rights policy; and governance, including the existence of a GRI-compliant CSR report and a compliance and anti-corruption policy.
