What you need to succeed

  • Holder of a DEC or AEC in aircraft maintenance, DEC in Aerospace Engineering or a DEP in mechanical assembly.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge, an asset
  • Relevant experience: 2 to 5 years in the aeronautical field, an asset;
  • Ability to perform various operations on computer systems (intermediate level)
  • Good ability to work in a team (the majority of the work being carried out in a work team)
  • Field of study: Aeronautics
  • This position is in a French-speaking work environment, however, it requires a functional knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with international clients, suppliers or colleagues.

What will your daily life look like?

General Responsibilities

  • Install on the engine the accessories necessary for its proper functioning.
  • Adapt the test bench to the type of engine and attach an engine to it, connecting fluid lines and control and instrumentation fittings according to work instructions.
  • Monitor readings displayed on the various computerized control panels, to identify deviations and intervene immediately.
  • Fill out various reading and test reports.
  • Make the necessary adjustments during testing.
  • Stamp to certify that the tests have been completed according to standards.
  • Perform a visual inspection of the external condition of the engine upon arrival for testing and upon leaving.
  • If necessary, wash, rinse and dry engines, their supports and the test cell.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of new processes, products and rework for the choice of methods and tools.
  • Take necessary items from stores and report outages and material needs to the manager.
  • Keep your equipment and work environment clean and in good condition.
  • Participate in training and sharing knowledge with teammates on various equipment and tasks.
  • Performs other similar tasks of lesser or equal complexity related to the functions mentioned above.
