Main responsibilities

Main responsibilities include:

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, engineering drawings and aerospace specifications.
  • Program, set up and operate machine tools (CNC and conventional).
  • Machine metal parts (aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, etc.) to tight tolerances.
  • Make necessary adjustments during production to ensure compliance.
  • Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, CMM).
  • Ensure quality control of machined parts according to aerospace standards (AS9100, ISO, etc.).
  • Participate in continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
  • Comply with health and safety procedures and industry quality standards.
  • Document operations and complete part traceability.
  • Other related duties.

Profile

  • Diploma in machining techniques or equivalent training.
  • Experience in machining within the aerospace sector (an asset).
  • Proficiency with CNC machines (milling and/or turning).
  • Knowledge of materials used in aerospace.
  • Ability to work to very tight tolerances.
  • Good understanding of aerospace quality standards.
  • Ability to read complex drawings.
  • Analytical mindset, rigor and attention to detail.
